The Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Jack and Lucille Wonnell Memorial Young Artist Concerto Competition! The winners will appear as soloist on the February 2016 BAMSO concert.

First Place, Strings Division

Spencer Sharp, violin

Spencer, a high school senior, will be performing the first movement of the Dvorak Violin Concerto.


First Place, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion

Kathryn Eroskey, flute

Kathryn, a high school senior, will perform The Carnival of Venice by Briccialdi.


First Place, 13 and Under

Andrew Yang, violin

Andrew will perform the first movement of Symphonie Espagnol by Lalo.


BAMSO would like to thank all of the many highly talented young musicians who sent in audition recordings!

Sunday, February 21st

BAMSO Young Artist Concerto Competition Concert

Join the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra as we present “From the Top V”, featuring the winners of the Jack and Lucille Wonnell Memorial Young Artist Concerto Competition, with Suzanne Bona, host of Sunday Baroque, heard on WGUC.

In addition to the winning concertos BAMSO will also perform works by Tchaikovsky and Wagner.


Sunday, February 21st.  The 6:00 PM concert will take place at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 10345 Montgomery Rd. 45242.
